At Dilmah, every cup of tea represents a connection with the people who enjoy it. In 2025, Dilmah celebrated our tea-loving community by giving away trips to Sri Lanka, the home of Dilmah tea. This special campaign was our way of thanking the people who have welcomed Dilmah into their homes and daily tea rituals. Through this personal story, photos, and memorable moments, Leonie & Gregory share what made the experience so meaningful. What an amazing thrill to receive a phone call from "Dilmah Tea" on the eve of a significant birthday, informing me that I had won a “Luxury Trip for Two to Sri Lanka”. My love of Dilmah English Breakfast Tea was about to take my husband and I cross the ocean to a country we did not know very much about. What an exciting prospect. We were grateful to Singapore Airlines for their wonderful care flying us from Christchurch to Sri Lanka and home again. What happens when a passion for tea turns into the trip of a lifetime? Follow Sue and Ross on their incredible trip, which started from a box of tea. Have you ever wondered if anyone actually wins those competitions on boxes at the supermarket?  Well they do, and I did, winning the Dilmah Tea ‘Luxury Holiday in Sri Lanka’. A wonderful prize and an incredible holiday. Courtesy of Singapore Airlines, my husband and I flew from Christchurch to Colombo via Singapore.  Arriving there late, we were met by our Dilmah chauffeur and dropped to the Hilton Colombo for the night. The room was incredibly spacious and luxurious, wish we could have stayed longer, but after an early breakfast we were picked up by our chauffeur and driven south to the Dilmah-owned Resplendent Ceylon ‘Wild Coast Tented Lodge’ on the edge of Yala National Park. Next level luxury! Everything included - first class accommodation, food, beverages and two guided safaris into the National Park. We struck it lucky and saw a leopard so close I almost could’ve reached out and touched it. We also saw elephants, monkeys, water buffalo, deer, mongoose, jackals, crocodiles and many different birds including raptors and owls.

Designed as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for our loyal customers, the prize of Dilmah's Golden Teabag offered an opportunity to discover the landscapes, people, and traditions that make Sri Lanka so special. The lovely couple, Liss and Criss, who won our Golden Ticket to the home of Dilmah Tea, shared their relaxing and unforgettable moments from their trip.   Being the fortunate winners of the Golden Ticket has been one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had. It was special in so many ways. From the very first moment I opened the Tea box and saw the Golden Ticket, I had to read it several times before I could truly believe that we had won. From that moment on, an incredible adventure began. As soon as we arrived in Colombo, we started experiencing the wonderful hospitality and luxury that awaited us.   In 2025, we launched "Win a Trip to Sri Lanka" campaign, giving our lucky winners the opportunity to visit the home of Dilmah tea and experience the beauty, culture, and tea heritage of Sri Lanka firsthand. As a way of saying thank you to the customers who have supported us over the years, we created a once-in-a-lifetime journey filled with unforgettable memories.
